Bagramovi and Kobosnidze put Georgia on top in Karting Slalom Cup's session 1

Elizaveta Bagramovi and Nika Kobosnidze led the way in this afternoon's Karting Slalom Cup practice session as the Georgian teenagers posted the best combined effort at Vallelunga.

Their timed runs added up to 1m52.333s, placing the Georgian duo 2.634s clear of the next best team. Latvia were their closest challengers, with Emīlija Bertāne and younger brother Nikolass recording a combined 1m54.967s. The top-three was completed by Sara Sandra Kałuzińska and Krzysztof Gardziel of Team Poland with a combined 1m56.659s.

Heavy rain at Vallelunga meant that four nations – Denmark, Hungary, Germany and Serbia – were limited to just one run. This quartet will be allowed to complete their allotted Friday practice tomorrow.

Beginning at 10.00, Saturday will see further sessions and then qualifying take place, with the latter completed during a second session that gets going at 14.00. The medals positions will be decided on Sunday.
